The circuit is open seven days a week throughout the year, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?
Sunday - Thursday 10am – 5pm.
Friday - Saturday 10am – 7pm.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please wear training shoes or similar. We advise loose comfortable clothes that may be worn under the race suit.
DO I NEED A DRIVING LICENCE?
No, you do not need a driving licence to race. Every driver receives a full safety video briefing and instruction on how to operate the karts.
CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL BEFORE I DRIVE?
No, any person under the influence of alcohol or illicit substances will not be permitted to drive.
ARE SPECTATORS ALLOWED?
Yes – although children must be always supervised. Please note that dogs are only permitted on a lead at the circuits at any time.
ARE THERE ANY AGE OR HEIGHT RESTRICTIONS FOR RACING?
Yes – There are different age restrictions on our tracks.
Bambino – 4 to 7 years of age.
Junior cadet– 8 to 12 years of age. Minimum height 130cms.
Main track– 12 years and above. Minimum height 150cms.
WHAT IS THE SPEED OF THE KARTS?
Main track: 50mph.
Junior/family session: 30mph.
Cadet track: 25mph.
WHAT TYPE OF KARTS DO YOU RUN?
BIZ 200cc, 4 stroke engines governed.
SODI 270CC. 4 stroke engines, ungoverned.
WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE TRACKS?
Main track 450m, Cadet track 300m.
HOW MANY KARTS ARE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK AT ANY ONE TIME?
Main adult session: 14
Junior/family session: 12
Cadet track: 8
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. However, we will move a booking once.
WHAT IS THE ACTIVITY BOX APP?
The Activity Box App is a mobile app which enables you to get live timings/data/rankings against other drivers. It allows you to book all future sessions online. It stores your loyalty point every 7 points gives you a free 15-minute session.
CAN I ARRIVE LATE FOR A RACE EVENT?
No – All events commence with a mandatory safety video briefing. If you miss the briefing, you cannot race. We do not refund race fees for late arrivals.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN GLOVES/BALACLAVAS?
Both items are compulsory. Gloves are £1.50 a pair and balaclavas are £2 each.
Both can be purchased from the reception office.
WHAT ARE YOUR COVID PROCEDURES?
All overalls are washed after each use. The helmets are sanitized after every use.

CAN I WEAR MY OWN SAFETY EQUIPMENT?
Drivers may supply their own safety equipment, but it must be approved by the Race Director. Helmets and any other equipment must be to the appropriate standard. Full face helmets with a visor must be used. Race suits must cover the driver from neck to wrist to ankle and be of appropriate construction for racing.
Surbiton Raceway does not accept any liability for any loss of such equipment, or any injury caused where the driver’s own safety equipment may have contributed to the injury.
CAN I JUST TURN UP AND RACE?
All bookings must be made in advance via our online booking system on our website.
DO THE CIRCUITS OPERATE IN ALL CONDITIONS?
The circuit will operate in all conditions other than severe snow.
ARE CAR PARKING FACILITIES AVAILABLE?
Yes, there is free parking.
